Vita Group launches consultation into Birmingham mixed-use scheme
The first stage of consultation for a proposed mixed-use development in Birmingham city centre takes place this week.
Regeneration firm Vita Group is leading the Goods Station project on the four-acre site of the old Axis office building in Holliday Street next to the Mailbox.
Taking place on Tuesday 25 July, 12pm – 2.30pm and 5-7pm at Spaces, Mailbox (Level 1) Royal Mail Street, B1 1RS, it will be the first time people will be able to see and learn more about Vita Group’s initial ideas for Goods Station.
The Goods Station website has also been updated with additional information and imagery in relation to the consultation and includes a form so people can share their views. The first round of consultation will run from 18 July – 8 August 2023.
David Ancell, Vita Group chief brand officer, said: “We’re excited to launch the first round of consultation on the Goods Station masterplan, inviting people from across the city to share their views on our ideas for this incredible location.
“The aim is to create a sustainable mixed-use urban neighbourhood which celebrates all that’s good within the city, creating an inclusive neighbourhood. Goods Station is all about good vibes, good opportunities, good homes… a good life.”
Goodsstation.co.uk has been updated with some early sketches which start to show what the mixed-use masterplan will create.
