Trio of appointments creates new team for Birmingham law firm

Kayleigh Hodges, Natasha Chand and Nicole Adcock

Talbots Law, an employee-owned trust based in the West Midlands, recently expanded its services with the introduction of a care team at its Edgbaston office.

This expansion follows a period of strong recruitment, with the appointment of three solicitors specialising in family and care law.

Natasha Chand, Kayleigh Hodges, and Nicole Adcock collectively bring over 20 years of experience in this area.

The focus of the team is to offer comprehensive legal assistance to families navigating the complexities of care proceedings.

From the initial receipt of a pre-proceedings letter from a local authority to eventual court proceedings, the team is dedicated to securing the best possible outcomes for both families and children involved.

Natasha Chand, who is a children’s panel accredited associate solicitor, said: “Talbots hasn’t had a specialist family team working from its Birmingham office, so the opportunity to come together and shape the offer from the ground up was very appealing to the three of us.

“There are more and more parents in the city needing legal assistance at what is a very challenging time for them, and this can cover a myriad of local authority involvement, including court proceedings. What they want at that time is to know they have access to advice from an expert who understands the intricacies of this complex field.”

Nicole Adcock, family executive at Talbots Law, said: “This can be initial conversations over the telephone, to full representation at pre-proceedings meetings or court hearings, providing support and tailored advice every step of the way with the aim of achieving positive outcomes. All of this support is covered by Legal Aid making it free to parents…they just need to pick up the phone to us and we will help.”
