Freedom Brewery, part of the British premium lager scene, has introduced a new contract brewing service to assist growing producers to meet rising demands.

Having recently invested over £2m in its production facilities, Freedom Brewery is extending its expertise to other brewers for brewing, bottling, canning, and kegging beers of various volumes, utilising modern infrastructure.

Based in Staffordshire, with nearly 30 years of experience, the brewery has installed a new CFT canning line capable of handling 15,000 cans per hour, offering printing or labelling, tray or multi-pack arrangements, and palletisation services.

Additionally, its keg washing and filling machine can support filling 30L and 50L kegs, particularly aiding brewers requiring on-trade support.

As an independent business, Freedom Brewery’s agility creates a wide range of beer styles, from lagers to IPAs, with brew sizes starting from 5,000 litres.

Collaboration opportunities for recipe development are also available.

Regarding sustainability, Freedom Brewery prioritises eco-friendly practices, including Kieselguhr filtration for vegan-friendly beers, utilising natural spring water from an onsite bore-hole, implementing thermal fluid heating to reduce energy consumption, and employing reed bed filtration for wastewater treatment.

Matthew Willson, managing director at Freedom Brewery, said: “Contract brewing has been a staple of this industry for a long time and we felt this was an area in which we could provide strong value to the market. Investment in new equipment, infrastructure, and workforce to grow your business can be costly, time-consuming and a real barrier to growth and that’s where we’re in a fortunate position to support.

“We’re able to take care of every aspect of your brew, from raw ingredients to the finished product, and the new canning line enables an incredibly efficient method to get from production to packaging so products can be put into market faster to help your bottom line.”
