Centrick Invest, a property investment firm, has been tasked with marketing the first phase of a development venture in Longbridge, Birmingham, in the wake of developers securing planning permission for the area.

St. Modwen Homes, the developer gained approval to build 205 apartments spread across three blocks on Dalmuir Road, located within the historic MG Rover site.

Now, under the direction of St. Modwen, Centrick Invest has been assigned the responsibility of promoting the first phase of apartments, named Cooper Gate.

These apartments will consist of 100 one-bedroom and 105 two-bedroom units.

Each of the three apartment blocks will have communal rooftop terraces and over 200 bicycles and provide 105 car parking spaces, all with electric vehicle charging points.

This project is made possible by a £20m infrastructure investment in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).

Centrick’s new homes and investments director Andy Butts said: “The regeneration of Longbridge is enormously exciting and we are thrilled to be part of this amazing success story. What was a brownfield site is being transformed into a vibrant new community with first-class facilities, wonderful new energy-efficient homes fantastic business and employment opportunities as well as excellent connectivity into the city and the wider region.

“We are very confident that St Modwen Homes’ development of 205 high-quality apartments will present an extremely attractive investment opportunity for our overseas clients and an exceptional place for residents to call home. We can’t wait to start working alongside St Modwen.”

Longbridge has already seen significant regeneration efforts, including housing, retail, education, and green spaces.

St. Modwen plans to introduce a total of 3,000 new homes, two million square feet of commercial space, and up to 10,000 new job opportunities upon completion.

Construction is underway with an estimated completion timeframe of around 12 months.
