Stricken shopping mall up for sale for just £9m

A Midlands shopping centre is set to be sold out of receivership, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

Lunson Mitchenall have been appointed by the receivers to sell Coopers Square, a 400,000 sq ft mall anchored by M&S, Boots, Next and Primark in Burton-on-Trent.

The scheme extends to a total area of 9.39 acres and is up for sale for £9m.

John Griffin, Lunson Mitchenall’s head of investment, said: “Coopers Square offers a strategic investment opportunity to work with the existing stakeholders in the town, whilst maintaining a robust income profile.”

BYM bought the centre for £22.5m in 2022 from New Frontier.
