Commercial development plot let to storage yard company

Harris Lamb’s Agency team has leased a commercial development plot in Birmingham to a company specialising in ready-to-use storage yards.
Plot B of Tameside Business Park in Perry Barr has been leased to Philips Yards Birmingham, a franchisee of getYards, a concept designed to help SMEs rent storage yards quickly.
The 1.79-acre self-contained open storage yard features a secure, gated palisade fence perimeter and a modern portacabin-style office building. The business has secured the plot on a 10-year lease with a five-year break clause.
Thomas Morley, who oversaw the deal, said: “getYards is a very new concept which provides ready-to-move-into commercial storage yards. The franchisee will divide the land parcel up into separate area which a customer can reserve and pay for a getYards yard in under 60 seconds with a legally binding contact, as well as taking occupation the same day.
