Global property firm announces senior regional appointment

Property firm Avison Young has appointed a new regional head of property management for the Midlands and South West.

Emma Taylor has arrived from Knight Frank, where she spent more than three years as a partner.

With 20 years’ experience in the commercial property sector, Emma has managed a wide range of assets, including large multi-let offices, industrial estates, retail parks and shopping centres, and privately owned estates, working with clients that include private investors, government bodies and pension funds.

Emma will be leading on the Paradise and One Centenary Way instructions for Federated Hermes and MEPC, as well as overseeing the property management team across the Midlands and the South West regions.

Highly experienced in landlord investor management across the commercial asset classes, and most recently in Grade A office spaces, Emma previously spent over 15 years at Cushman & Wakefield, a firm she joined as a graduate surveyor, and worked as a senior associate at Workman.

David Martin, regional managing director for Birmingham at Avison Young UK, said:  “We’re very pleased to welcome Emma to the team as Regional Head for the Midlands and South West.

“She brings with her an exceptional knowledge of the Midlands and South West markets, and, as we continue to grow our presence across the regions, Emma will be a critical member of the team in enabling that growth.

“Our property management teams are working on a number of significant instructions, and with Emma’s support and leadership, I look forward to seeing Avison Young continue to deliver great value to our clients.”

Emma Taylor added:  “I’m delighted to be joining Avison Young at such an exciting time for the firm, as it continues to invest in its presence in the UK regions, and I’m very much looking forward to bringing my experience in property asset management to the role, working closely with colleagues to deliver best value for clients and occupiers.”
