Green light for second phase of housing development in Warwickshire

Warwick District Council has approved the development of 144 new homes in Kenilworth.
The project, managed by Persimmon Homes Central, marks the second phase of the Kenilworth Gate development and will be named Thickthorn Gardens.
Of the new homes, 63 will be allocated to a housing association partner for rent and shared ownership.
Under section 106, financial contributions will be made including over £7m for local education, £4m for highway improvements, and over £1.5m for healthcare and public transport enhancements.
Neil Williams, managing director at Persimmon Homes Central said: “We’re proud to have secured approval to deliver our second phase at Kenilworth Gate. Our upcoming new community will bring a wide range of new benefits to the area, including major improvements to local roads, public open spaces, healthcare, and education. We’ll continue to work closely with Warwick District Council throughout the build process to deliver on these commitments.
“This development will not only provide significant environmental and biodiversity enhancements but will also leave a lasting legacy of community benefits for the people of Kenilworth and the surrounding areas.”
