Hot deal sees compliance company acquire fire and air specialist

Ross-on-Wye-based HSL Compliance has acquired Lancashire-based RJ Urmson Group, the firm which provides fire and air compliance.

The acquisition marks HSL Compliance’s entry into fire and air ventilation safety and compliance services, which will sit alongside its water safety team.

Following the acquisition, owner Robert Urmson alongside his daughter Christina Urmson, will continue to lead the running of RJ Urmson Group and the company will continue to operate under its existing branding.

HSL Compliance assists clients in meeting regulatory requirements and fostering safe living and working environments.

Established in 1992, RJ Urmson Group operates from its headquarters in Chorley, Lancashire, offering a range of services including passive fire protection, ventilation validation, ventilation commissioning, and water treatment solutions nationwide.

The deal team at HSL Compliance was led by Tom Taylor and Gavin Hartley with external financial due diligence support from Ross Wiggins of Menzies (London) and legal support from Arpinder Dhillon of Harrison Clark Rickerby (Ross-on-Wye).
