Property Lunch: Keon Homes on building the future
Join us as Matt Beckley discusses Keon Homes’ remarkable growth at The Molineux on July 9.
Having doubled its size within three years, the developer is on course to achieve a £50m turnover this year.
Matt Beckley, the head of development for Keon Homes, will delve into the company’s collaborations with registered providers, local authorities, and various partners to create social housing, extra care schemes, private sale homes and properties for the private rental market.
Leveraging a land-led model, Keon Homes funds land acquisitions and offers both design and build or build-only services. Utilising modern construction methods and engaging a wide range of stakeholders, the company is poised for a remarkable year, crowned by being awarded Property Business of the Year 2024 by TheBusinessDesk.com.
It forms part of the family-owned Tara Group, established in 1974 by Noel Sweeney. Operating from offices in Chasetown and Shrewsbury, the group employs over 250 people and works with more than 400 subcontractors.
With two decades of experience, Matt Beckley has made significant contributions to affordable housing, including stints at Marches Housing Association, Morris Homes, Housing 21, and Wrekin Housing Group.
Since joining Keon Homes in 2022, Matt has been instrumental in doubling the business’s size in just three years, leveraging his expertise to unlock complex land parcels and drive the company’s ambitious ‘brownfield first’ housing programs.
