Bathroom Mountain, head of group customer service James Bacon, Shamila Iqbal, Bathroom Mountains co-founder and director and Samuel Scott, sales director of Panther Logistics

AIT Worldwide Logistics’ Panther Logistics has landed its biggest contract of the year with online bathroom retailer, Bathroom Mountain.

Bathroom Mountain has revamped its delivery model from pallet-based to two-person delivery, starting from April 29 following a three-month trial with the Northamptonshire-based firm.

Founded by Shamila Iqbal in 2020, Bathroom Mountain offers a wide range of bathroom products.

The transition has streamlined Bathroom Mountain’s operations at its 95,000 sq ft Stoke-on-Trent warehouse, leading to improved efficiency, reduced packaging waste, fewer damages and overall better service. Productivity has also increased, allowing faster order processing.

Panther now handles direct pickups from Bathroom Mountain, consolidates deliveries and delivers straight to customers.

Iqbal said: “As a business we are incredibly ambitious, however our focus has always been on our customers which are the very core of the business. From a delivery perspective the bathroom sector is challenging with multiple SKU’s forming part of each order. Panther’s involvement has taken our service offering to the next level ensuring our customers receive their orders on a day and room of their choice.

“The move to two-person delivery is a game changer for our business as well as our customers and is already paying significant dividends which is great. Also dealing with the Panther team is like a breath of fresh air. They are flexible in their approach, highly communicative and have gone above and beyond since day one to ensure that our customers receive the best final mile delivery experience in the industry.”

Samuel Scott, Panther’s sales director, said: “Working in partnership with our customers is part of our DNA. Bathroom Mountain is an incredibly exciting business and we are confident that by moving to a two- person delivery model they will be able to further scale up their operations.

“What Shamila and her team have achieved in such a short space of time is amazing and we are looking forward to supporting them on their journey with exceptional levels of customer service providing them with an even greater competitive edge.”
