New addition to 600-acre science park is put on the market

The latest addition to Keele University’s Science and Innovation Park has been placed on the market, after reaching completion.

Innovation Centre 7 was developed after Keele secured £15m from Research England, the European Regional Development Fund and the Getting Building Fund.

Comprising 130,000 sq ft of mixed-use space, the new unit joins the 600-acre science park, already home to more than 50 businesses that support over 1,000 employees.

The park also boasts a range of university campus-based benefits for occupiers, including an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated nursery on site, access to a gym, physiotherapy clinics and a pharmacy, as well as other on-site amenities including a Co-Op store, a Greggs bakery, a unisex hair salon, a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants and a Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

Harris Lamb’s Stoke-based Agency team has been instructed to market the unit.

Mike Burr of Harris Lamb’s commercial agency team, said: “We are delighted to have been instructed on this superb business location. This is one of the leading sites of its kind in the UK and has grown significantly in recent years, adding a further four Innovation Centres, a new research-led Veterinary School, and a renewable energy generation park to the site.

“Offering solutions to businesses of all sizes, Keele Science and Innovation Park provides fully furnished spaces equipped with the latest technology for digital integration and connectivity, with occupiers benefitting from access to meeting rooms, executive boardrooms, digital suites and think labs, reception services and close proximity car parking.

“With work on the much-anticipated Innovation Centre 7 now completed, we are already fielding significant numbers of enquiries for the 9,484 sq ft opportunity with suites from 528 sq ft, which is exclusively available for businesses involved within the integration of intelligent digital technologies into manufacturing and industrial processes.

“Combining world-class research and business facilities, a superb range of amenities and excellent transport links, the park has established itself as a central employment hub for the UK offering the highest calibre of commercial accommodation.”
