Manufacturer invests in new recycling technology

QC Polymer, a rPET recycler based in the West Midlands, has announced plans to expand its operations, aiming to improve the UK’s circular economy and PET recycling capacity.

Recently acquired by managing director Arpan Dhanuka, the company is investing in new recycling technology to improve efficiency and produce higher-quality recycled materials for manufacturers seeking sustainable options.

The firm is known for manufacturing recycled PET flakes that are used in food packaging, textiles polyester, and straps.

QC Polymer plans to partner with local councils, waste management companies, and major brands to support its sustainability goals.

The collaborations will help the recycler tailor its services and develop new recycling solutions.

Dhanuka said: “Our five-year vision for the company to significantly increase revenue is underlined by the ever-increasing, global demand for recycled PET. We are excited to be able to provide sustainably produced, high-quality products that will help drive and grow the circular economy over the next five years.

“Our sustainable commitments are evident in the significant investment we have made to advance our recycling technologies used to create a polymer that is rivalling virgin PET. We look forward to working with more companies and organisations who share our vision to create sustainable recycling solutions.”
