Recognising sustainable excellence in the property & construction industry

The built environment accounts for around 30% of total annual carbon emissions in the UK, but the sector has been among the most active in addressing the challenge.

The property and construction award at the Midlands Sustainability Excellence Awards celebrates pioneers who are not only meeting sustainability targets but exceeding them.

Nominate organisations or projects that demonstrate leadership, creativity, and measurable progress in reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing resilience. The award aims to inspire further action and drive the property and construction industry towards a more sustainable and regenerative future.

TheBusinessDesk.com has launched the inaugural Midlands Sustainability Excellence Awards, to recognise the businesses and organisations in the region that are making permanent and positive changes to their environmental impact.

Created by TheBusinessDesk.com in partnership with Deloitte and the Edgbaston Park Hotel, we’re excited to bring the awards to the Midlands after a hugely successful launch in Yorkshire.

With 13 award categories to consider, the awards will be judged by Richard Hopkins-Burton, partner at Deloitte Midlands, Billy Harris, commercial director of Edgbaston Park Hotel, Anna Bright, CEO of Sustainability West Midlands, Henriette Breukelaar, regional director for the Midlands at the Canal & River Trust and Matt Bunn, sustainability lead at Nottingham College.

The winners will be announced at an exclusive lunch at Edgbaston Park Hotel, on Friday 23 May 2025.

Entries are now open until March 14.
