Manufacturer continues with its American dream as first US office opens
Aurrigo International, a supplier of airside solutions, has opened its first operational office in the United States.
It is located within the Delta Cargo building at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). It will support the deployment of the company’s Auto-DollyTug®. This all-electric, autonomous vehicle combines the functionality of a baggage tractor with the ULD (Unit Load Device) carrying capacity of an airport dolly.
The project has already begun setup and mapping at CVG, with full operations set to commence soon.
Daniel Garcia Jr. has been appointed as Aurrigo’s first autonomous vehicle safety operator in the US, with additional vehicle maintenance specialists expected to join the team shortly.
The new location will offer increased flexibility and space efficiency, allowing the Auto-DollyTug® to tow four trailers carrying five ULDs.
Professor David Keene, CEO of Aurrigo International plc, said:“This is a milestone moment for us in the United States, a vitally important market for our business and our global expansion. The deal we signed in January to deploy Auto-DollyTug ® at CVG has led to this dedicated office and new team.
“It will provide the team with ease of access to the initial deployment, while also providing the opportunity to move forward on other potential ventures stateside. Many US airports are looking to push the boundaries of innovation to increase capacity and improve the passenger experience…Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is the first of what we hope will be many adopting our technology.
“We are delighted to be increasing our presence in the US and creating jobs in the same week that this great country held its ‘Labor Day’.”
