Property consultancy appoints new chair

SLC Property, a Birmingham-based property consultancy offering land and planning services, has appointed Martin Farrington FRICS as its new Chair, effective 1 November.

With 35 years of experience in local government, Farrington previously served as director of City Development at Leeds City Council, overseeing the UK’s second-largest local planning authority and handling over 4,500 applications annually.

He also led projects, including the regeneration of Leeds’ South Bank, the redevelopment of Leeds Station with Network Rail, the restoration of Temple Mill for the British Library North and the creation of a new city centre park.
