Plans have been submitted for Study Inn’s latest student accommodation development, located on Frederick Road in Edgbaston.

Glancy Nicholls and Vista Planning have lodged plans with Birmingham City Council for around 240 student rooms, offering a mix of social and studio-style accommodations.

Residents will have access to a range of internal and external amenities, including a gym, spa, and study areas, fostering a balanced, community-focused living environment.

Vista Planning said: “Following the conclusion of an ultimately constructive pre-application process with BCC, we’re super pleased to have formally submitted this full application on behalf of Study Inn Group.

“The scheme delivers a responsive design within the Edgbaston Conservation area, and will assist in meeting an identified PBSA need in this part of the city”.

Glancy Nicholls said designs took “inspiration from the modernist & regency styles of the area, the design makes a commitment to material honesty, clean proportions, and subtle ornamentation. This contemporary building reflects the character of the area while presenting a modern aesthetic that resonates with students and the community alike”.
