Ground investigation contractor invests in new equipment for future plans

Geotechnics, a ground investigation contractor based in Coventry, has invested in new survey equipment to support its future operations.
With the UK Government set to phase out the 3G mobile network by 2025, Geotechnics needed to upgrade its GNSS survey equipment.
Geotechnics received an £18,150 grant to cover half the £36,300 cost of the new equipment.
The funding was provided through the Business Growth West Midlands – Coventry’s SME Capital Grant Programme, which is part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The firm specialises in providing ground investigation services, testing, monitoring, and reporting for projects across the water, rail, road, energy, and utilities sectors.
Cllr Jim O’Boyle, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Regeneration and Climate Change at Coventry City Council, said: “I’m pleased that we’ve been able to support Geotechnics LTD with this grant. They’re doing really innovative work, diversifying into new sectors including decarbonisation and they are committed to creating new jobs – including new graduate opportunities – so real wins all around.
“Coventry and the wider region is full of innovative businesses that just need that extra bit of support to achieve their ambitions. Geotechnics LTD is a fantastic example of how Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Hub works with businesses to help them do just that.”
