Indian gastropub group acquires Grade II-listed pub
A Grade II listed pub, formerly under Greene King management, has been acquired by Soho Taverns.
The Old School House in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, becomes Soho Taverns’ seventh Indian gastropub, with WTS Property Consultants handling the acquisition.
Situated in Mulberry Walk, the pub is part of a busy town centre development that includes retailers like M&S Simply Food and Boots, alongside eateries such as Giggling Squid and Café Nero.
Richard Tole, director at WTS Property Consultants said: “I am delighted to have assisted Soho Taverns on their most recent acquisition in Mere Green. I have no doubt they will do a fantastic job refurbishing the building and bringing this vacant pub back to life and I look forward to visiting the site when it re-opens. I would like to thank Arif Awan who did a great job on the legal and Mark Hillier who acted on behalf of the landlord.”
