Former nightclub and historic warehouses hit the auction block

The former Equator nightclub and historic warehouses in Walsall’s town centre are up for auction this month.
With planning consent already in place, the site allows for the demolition of the nightclub and the creation of 28 residential units.
With a guide price of £360,000, the property includes a Grade II-listed Victorian warehouse and has been vacant since its last use as a nightclub in 2018.
It will be featured alongside over 200 other properties in SDL Property Auctions’ live-streamed sale on 27 March.
Andrew Parker, auctioneer and partner at SDL Property Auctions said: “With planning consent already secured, this is a rare opportunity to develop an attractive residential scheme that will provide sought-after accommodation for the buoyant Walsall town centre residential market.
“Innovative developments like this one are in demand in the town and the fact that significant investment to enhance and regenerate the town centre is currently underway bodes well for this site as a really good investment opportunity.
“This Lichfield Street site is also less than half a mile from the train station and Walsall has great transport links to the likes of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Lichfield, adding to its appeal as a place to live.”
