Birmingham City Council puts former adult centre up for sale

A former adult learning centre in Moseley is due to be auctioned off next month, with a guide price starting at £500,000.
The property is being sold by Birmingham City Council as part of its ongoing efforts to sell off assets from its £2.4bn investment property portfolio through a programme led by commissioners.
Once known as the Trittiford Learning Centre, the vacant building needs refurbishment but offers redevelopment potential, subject to planning consent.
It is a freehold site and sits among a mix of residential and commercial properties. Inside, the ground floor features a large main hall, 21 rooms of various sizes, storage spaces, four WCs, and two conservatories.
The building also includes a basement, three offices, a kitchen on the first floor, and an attic above. Outside, there are gardens and off-road parking.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe said: “The building needs refurbishment, but is a substantial vacant freehold former education and training centre and may be suitable for redevelopment, subject to planning permission.”
The sale will take place via Bond Wolfe’s live-streamed auction on Thursday, 15 May.
