Developer proposes new housing scheme

A DEVELOPER has applied for planning permission for a new housing development in Staffordshire.

Hallam Land Management, a subsidiary of quoted group Henry Boot, is looking to develop 14 new homes on a 1.6 acre site at Creswell Manor Farm in Stafford.

The scheme includes 14 detached and semi-detached homes with two and three bedrooms near the Doxey Marshes Nature Reserve.

The plans include car parking for 32 vehicles, a multi-use games pitch, a children’s play area and landscaping.

The new development is close to homes built by Henry Boot Homes in the 1970s and 1980s.

Paul Burton, regional manager for Hallam Land Managemengt, said: “We have been in discussions with the council about these proposals for some time to make sure that we get the improvements to the open space right as well as the mix of housing to satisfy local needs and we hope for a positive response in the near future.”
