HR win for Clarke Willmott’s Joanna

MIDLANDS-based national law firm Clarke Willmott celebrated its HR achievements at the Lawyer HR Awards when it HR director Joanna Parker was highly commended in the HR Director of the Year Award of The Lawyer Awards.

Joanna, who works out of the firm’s Birmingham office, beat off stiff competition from HR Directors at many top city and magic circle firms including Baker & McKenzie, Norton Rose, Lovells, Capticks and Field Fisher.

HR professionals from across the legal sector, including law firms, in-house legal departments, local government organisations, recruitment consultants and advertising agencies entered the highly-prized awards.

Joanna Parker said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won this award. This has been a difficult year for many law firms across the country and I want to thank everyone in the HR team at Clarke Willmott who have worked tirelessly to provide the best HR service to the benefit both the firm and the staff.  

“The fact that the team were nominated as finalists in four categories is testimony to the hard work being done and to win an award is a wonderful achievement”.
