Media Buzz: HROC, Open GI, Contigo

New PR account wins

HROC PR, part of marketing communications agency HROC Group, has won a number of new accounts. The Birmingham-based agency has won contracts with heating manufacturer Vaillant to implement and manage its social media strategy and sanitaryware firm Geberit, to launch its new ‘AquaClean’ product to consumer and retail markets. In addition, HROC has secured PR accounts for Moores Furniture Group to support some of its bathroom and kitchen brands, the media and social media relations for Nuby baby products and the contract for window and door manufacturer Evolution. Other recent PR wins include fuel card solutions company Keyfuels and Ardentia, providers of business intelligence to the NHS.
Managing director Steve Sherran said: “It’s been a fantastic year for us to date and we are delighted to be working with such high profile brands on exciting projects. It’s been a record year for the PR division within HROC Group, with income more than doubling on 2010.”

Another client deal for Open GI

WORCESTER insurance software developer Open GI has secured its latest contract win from West Country broker RK Shipman. The ‘eBroker’ facility now enables RK Shipman’s website to deliver online home insurance quotations in real time, allowing customers to make instant purchases. In addition, RK Shipman is taking Open GI’s eAggregator software which will enable it to link its own website to leading online aggregators.

Fun run for software developer

A NINE-strong team from Solihull-based energy software developer Contigo took part in the Blythe Valley Fun Run. They sported fetching tu-tus in racing green to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Heart Appeal.
