New senior appointments at PwC

FINANCIAL services firm PwC has appointed Stuart Wallace as its new head of tax for the Midlands region, having previously been in charge of the firm’s indirect tax team.
Mr Wallace will lead the delivery of tax services to large corporates in the region, companies based overseas looking to invest here and private firms.
He will also head teams in specialist tax services related to employment and a range of direct and indirect taxation.
He has been succeeded in his role as head of indirect taxes by Jonathan Evans who returns to the Midlands practice after six years in London.
Mr Wallace said: “It’s a privilege to lead our tax team at a time when we see some real change coming to the tax regime.
“The firm has real strength and depth of specialism in the region and we aim to capitalise on that by continuing to develop our talent and expand our team.”
PwC has also appointed two new partners across the Midlands to strengthen its human resource services practice.
Will Schofield has joined as a partner, having previously worked at the firm’s offices in the Czech Republic, Russia and Australia.
Mo Desai has also rejoined the human resource services team following a secondment in the South West.
In addition to these senior appointments, 100 new graduates have been taken on in the Midlands as part of 1,200 new recruits nationally on the firm’s traineeship scheme.
