Rix Petroleum to sponsor the Kenilworth Show

A PETROLEUM company is fuelling its support for agricultural businesses across the region by signing up as main sponsor for the Kenilworth Show.
Rix Petroleum launched its Midlands operation just over 12 months ago after trading for more than 125 years across the UK.
Based at Coleshill, Warwickshire, the firm distributes fuels, heating oils and lubricants to homes, farms, as well as the commercial and haulage sectors.
And this year, to support the agricultural industry, it has agreed to sponsor Kenilworth Show, one of the biggest agricultural events in the region.
General manager Paul Doherty said: “We have enjoyed a tremendous first year. We started with just two of us in the office along with two tanker drivers but have now built the team to 11 employees.”
He said the company exhibited at the 2009 Kenilworth Show, but was looking forward to playing a bigger part in this year’s event, which takes place on a 50 acre site directly opposite the National Agricultural Centre (NAC) in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire on Saturday, June 5.
“We work with a lot of land owners and farmers across Warwickshire and the Midlands and are really looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers at the show this year,” added Paul.
Kenilworth Show organising committee chair Cynthia Mold added: “We are delighted the company is supporting this year’s event, which is shaping up to be a really great occasion for all the family.”
