Chambers appoint Allen Matty as new MD

ALLEN Matty has been appointed as the new Managing Director for the West Midland’s Chambers of Commerce (WMCC).

The WMCC , which is made up of seven regional chambers, provides support and services to businesses across the region.

Mr Matty was formerly the WMCC’s Operations Director and has 25 years business experience in international trade, sales and management.

More recently Mr Matty has been responsible for the delivery of the organisation’s international trade services across the region and it appears to be this experience which has led to his elevation.

“I have taken on my new role at a time when West Midlands’ businesses are being encouraged to get back on the road to economic recovery by exploring new and growing overseas markets,” he said.

“The West Midlands Chambers of Commerce has a pivotal role to play in helping boost international trade and helping businesses not only to survive the recession, but build for the future.

“Bearing in mind the precarious state of the economy, it is more important than ever that local businesses are able to access the right support programmes, and that’s what we are here to provide.”
