MANUFACTURING software provider Delcam has predicted record sales and better-than-forecast pre-tax profits as a result of a strong start to second half trading.
The Birmingham-based firm said its fourth quarter performance was also strong and reinforced the company’s healthy position.
Shares grew strongly on the announcement, up more than 5% in early trading.
In a brief trading statement, the firm said: “After a strong first half, which showed interim revenues reach a record high, trading in the second half of the financial year began well and the fourth quarter to date has been good.
“As a result, the board now expects Delcam’s profit before tax to be ahead of current market expectations of £2.8m, stated before share option charges of £0.1m. Sales for the full year are expected to be approximately £40m, setting a new high for the company.”
It said all of its major trading regions had contributed to the strong performance to date, with the company’s performance in Germany being especially pleasing.
