Insolvency firm launches distressed properties website

INSOLVENCY specialist Begbies Traynor has launched a new online portal to market the distressed properties on its books.

The firm, which operations in Birmingham, said that there were more than 300 distressed properties on the site, including more than 50 across the Midlands, and several parcels of development land.

There is a broad mix of properties from across the region including several pubs.

The Dolphin Inn, Shrewsbury, with a guide price of £125,000, features alongside the Bridge House Hotel in Ross-on-Wye, on offer for £475,000, and Hereford venue the Three Crowns Inn, Hereford for £350,000.

Apartment complex Ansty Court and commercial development 5 The Wharf, both in Birmingham, and the 13,000 sq ft ‘Auto Centre’ in Wolverhampton also feature on the site.

Partner Alistair Dickson, who oversaw the website’s development, said: “Volumes are rising rapidly and we expect the properties listed to treble over the next three months, due to the level of interest we have already received in the site.

“Although the UK real estate market remains slow, we are seeing significant levels of interest in the properties we have listed which we believe represent good value and are realistically priced to sell.”
