Ansons strengthens commercial property team

STAFFORDSHIRE law firm Ansons Solicitors, keen to capitalise on renewed interest in the commercial property sector, has strengthened its commercial property department with the recruitment of an additional specialist.

The appointment of Laura Raby, who joins Ansons from Hawkins Hatton, follows the recruitment of two further commercial property experts earlier this year.

Simon James, senior partner and commercial property solicitor, said: “Over the past few months we have seen a steady increase in demand with regards to commercial and residential property work.

“The appointment of Laura following the recent appointments of commercial property specialist Neil Faunch and David Williams within our residential property department come in direct response to the increases in demand.”

“Investing in key personnel at the right time will help us to continue to strive for growth and to be the best law firm within the region,” he added.

Ms Raby studied law at the University of Wolverhampton and graduated with distinction in 2007.

“I had been interested in working for Ansons Solicitors for a long time as it is a forward thinking Legal 500 firm with an excellent reputation for commercial property,” she said.

Her role as a commercial property solicitor will involve negotiating commercial leases, sales and purchases of commercial properties, lease renewals, development work, lease assignments and re-financing work.

Ms Raby lives in Meir Heath, Stoke-on-Trent and outside of work enjoys attending horse racing events, reading and travelling.

Ansons was formed in June 2004 and employs more than 45 people across its offices in Cannock and Lichfield, specialising in corporate transactions, commercial property, agricultural matters, commercial disputes, employment law, planning and environmental legislation.
