Sir Nigel Rudd to give Roger Dickens lecture

THE former deputy chairman of Barclays will address Midlands business leaders later this month with this year’s Roger Dickens lecture.

Sir Nigel Rudd will speak to over 150 members of the region’s business community about the challenges facing global business and developments in the UK banking system.

Sir Nigel is chairman of UK and Ireland Private Bank, Barclays Wealth, chairman of BAA and former chairman of Boots and Pilkington.

The event is the fourth in a series of annua lectures organised by networking and lobbying organisation Birmingham Forward in memory of the man who founded the organisation 20 years ago.

Last year, more than 200 people attended the event at which Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham, spoke about the effects of global recession on world economies.

The event on June 14 at the ICC in Birmingham is held in partnership with the NEC Group and sponsored by Deloitte.
