TBG Learning reaches the premier league

TWO Birmingham companies have agreed a deal which will lead to the creation of local jobs – and a new nationwide contract.

TBG Learning, based in Great Charles Street in the city centre, has signed a collaboration agreement with Premier Support Services, a national security, cleaning and facilities company.

TBG Learning, a third sector provider of youth and adult learning and recruitment services, has agreed a deal to train staff employed by Premier, which has seven offices across the UK and employs 1,500 staff.

Premier, which has its head office in Digbeth, creates around 150 vacancies a year while many of its staff require training to achieve compulsory industry standards. All those needs will now be met by TBG.

TBG’s Andrew Conlan-Trant said the company’s areas of expertise perfectly fit Premier’s needs and that the agreement would mean the creation of valuable apprentice posts.

“We specialise in training and supplying staff to a wide range of employers both in terms of size and sector,” he said. “Premier Support Services has a constant need to find new staff to fill vacancies and to fulfil its expansion programme.

“We envisage that many of the vacancies will be filled by apprentices looking to start or develop their careers. That entirely fits the core offer of our service to employers and we believe it will be a really good fit between the companies.”

TBG will service many of Premier’s recruitment requirements with candidates from the Work Programme and Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway programme, which aims to get 16 to 18-year-old NEETs into a job, further education or apprenticeship.
