Manufacturers urged to shout about their success

MANUFACTURERS in the West Midlands are being urged to focus on their strategic marketing activities and do more to promote their achievements.

The appeal has been made by Birmingham marketing and communications agency Start2Finish (S2F), which has launched a new service targeting manufacturers.

Working in partnership with Wolverhampton-based Danks Cockburn Public Relations (DCPR), Start2Finish said it was looking to support the region’s engineering businesses to help them sell more, increase profits and break into new markets.

The agency has already had some success, securing more than £2m of contracts with manufacturers such as Brandauer, USS Solutions and CB Frost & Co.

Steve Jolliffe, director at S2F, said: “We are passionate about making manufacturing a success in the West Midlands and this is reflected in the launch of a dedicated service for companies in this sector.

“There’s none of the fluff, nonsense and jargon that is often associated with marketing firms. This is straight-forward advice and guidance linked to the direct needs of the business, helping management teams assess their strategy, challenging it and ultimately shaping it to boost the bottom line.”

Fellow S2F director Warren Albutt said: “With DCPR on board we also have access to an agency that has delivered more than £2m of coverage to one West Midlands industrial group and supported another local firm to win a £25,000 order through Twitter.”
