THEBUSINESSDESK.COM celebrated its second anniversary in style with a party at the Metro Bar and Grill in Birmingham attended by around 130 people.

Representatives from professional and financial services firms, the commercial property world, manufacturing, PR and a number of other sectors gathered at the city centre venue to mark the occasion.

A fine time was had by all at the event which, as well as acting as a birthday party, was intended as a thank you to subscribers, supporters and sponsors.

Speaking after this week’s event, Andy Coyne, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com in the Midlands, said: “It is really gratifying that on a Wednesday night in February so many representatives of the region’s business community were willing to give up their own time to come and celebrate with us.

We now have more than 17,000 registered subscribers in the West Midlands and there is a broadly-held opinion that this is the ideal product for busy people who need the latest regional business news at their fingertips.

“I think it is fair to say that in just two years we have become an established part of the West Midlands business scene. We intend to build on the trust that the business community has shown us through an ever improved product and a programme of new initiatives.”
