Barclays backs fast-expanding driver training business

DRIVER training business TTC is planning to recruit another 50 employees this year after starting a new banking relationship with Barclays Corporate.

The firm, based at Hadley Business Park in Telford, is the largest provider of driver training/re-education in the country and currently services 11 police forces. 

TTC is responsible for providing speed awareness programmes, drink drive rehabilitation schemes and driver alertness and ride Schemes for motorcycle riders, turnover is predicted to rise by more than 60% this year to £26m with projections to exceed £50m by 2015.

Jenny Wynn, managing director at TTC, said “Our business has grown rapidly and organically since 1997. We moved to our new premises here in Telford back in 2006 and the business has continued to grow. We currently put 250,000 drivers a year through one of our courses and have a business model which has been resilient to the recession.”

Graham Wynn, company director at TTC added: “It was a big decision for us to move bank but we needed a banking partner who shared our vision of the business with a strategic approach to growing and supporting our business, and Barclays certainly met that criteria.”
