JSJS Designs secures distribution deal with Maplin Electronics

BIRMINGHAM-based home automation business JSJS Designs has received a boost after agreeing a new distribution deal with electronics retailer Maplin.

JSJS, based at Birmingham Science Park Aston, said it had agreed terms with Maplin which will see the retailer distribute the firm’s products through its website with a view to expanding this to the its nationwide store network.

In a statement ahead of its AGM today, JSJS chairman and chief executive Mike Lord said: “It goes without saying that the board is excited to be working with such a prestigious consumer-focused organisation and looks forward to a strong on-going relationship.”

He also revealed the firm had secured two further distribution deals which will see its products shipped to Australia and Singapore.

“I look forward to updating the market on our further achievements in due course,” he added.

The agreements follow the announcements in January of the company’s maiden first quarter profitability.

JSJS is also moving from development to market phase and has received the first licence fee order worth £300,000 from Electrium Sales Ltd.

The AGM will take place at the firm’s offices in the science park.
