FAUN Zoeller celebrates sales of £4.5m in just three months

REDDITCH waste management systems manufacturer FAUN Zoeller has announced record first quarter sales.

Orders totalling more than £4.5m were secured between January and March this year – the most successful start to the year the business has ever experienced.

Requests for several FAUN refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) along with either Zoeller or OTTO lifts have been placed by local authorities and private contractors across the UK.

The business has also seen strong take-up of its ancillary technology product – the Eco Drive Assistant (EDA). The electronic device is designed to help drivers reduce their fuel consumption and carbon emissions and has proven popular with local authorities looking to meet environmental and efficiency targets.

The announcement comes ahead of FAUN Zoeller’s annual innovation days – a series of demonstration events being held across the country in May.

During this year’s events two new RCVs are being launched onto the UK market – the Narrowpress and the Mini Selectapress – both of which have been specifically designed to give better manoeuvrability in inner city operations.

Nick Preston, commercial and marketing director at FAUN Zoeller, said: “The merger of FAUN and Zoeller in 2011 has given us a platform to further increase our share of the UK market.

“Our wide and innovative product range means an increasing number of local authorities are turning to our vehicles to solve their waste management problems, from fuel consumption to the challenges posed by urban collection rounds.”
