Coleman to lead RSM Tenon’s international push

ACCOUNTANCY firm RSM Tenon has appointed Phil Coleman as international growth director to deliver the firm’s overseas strategy.
Coleman brings more than 30-years’ experience to the role and has relocated from RSM Tenon’s offices in London to Birmingham in order to work with regional businesses face-to-face.
The main focus on the role will be actively supporting businesses as they pursue cross-border trade opportunities, working with agencies such as UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), and bridging the gap between RSM Tenon in the UK and the RSM International’s network of global contacts.
Coleman said: “Our ambition at RSM Tenon is to be one of the leading financial service providers in the UK, dedicated to helping businesses pursue international opportunities.
“For the last three to four years I’ve been fulfilling the role remotely as part of RSM Tenon’s London team, closely working with colleagues in RSM International. During this time I have been building relations with the RSM global network so I can help businesses in the Midlands network with the firm’s global contacts.
“To recover from the recession we have to proactively trade with the rest of the world. We need to exploit the international markets which are going to be the most profitable, in other words, what do we have that the rest of the world wants to buy?”
Neil Gray, regional managing director for RSM Tenon across the Midlands, said: “It’s fantastic to have Phil leading the international drive of RSM Tenon across the Midlands. He is an experienced business adviser and financial accountant, who has worked extensively on advisory and assurance assignments in the private and public sectors for over 30 years.”
