IT firm Pescado expands UK network with Midlands office

BUSINESS IT firm Pescado has opened an office in the Midlands as part of its continuing expansion drive.
Pescado, which provides businesses with telecoms, IT and cloud and hosted services, has set up a base at the Millhouse Business Centre, Castle Donington.
The company, founded in 2006, has appointed Craig Knight as its Midlands sales manager, while it has also taken on two additional two further field sales consultants. The new recruits take the Pescado team to almost 40.
At the end of last year, Pescado moved into 3,000sq ft of office space in Poplar House, Park West, Chester – doubling the space it previously occupied in Ellesmere Port. The company also has a dedicated IT base in Basildon, Essex.
The opening of a Midlands office and the new recruits are the latest part of a three-year plan to increase turnover from £4m to £10m.
The company is targeting new business with large corporates and SMEs. Its current client base includes JP Morgan Asset Wealth, Lexmark Europe, Dickies Workwear and lock company Yale.
The expansion coincides with the company’s biggest ever deal – a £300,000 contract to provide a leading gas maintenance and renewable energy firm with telecoms and IT support.
Fraser Watson, Managing Director of Pescado, said: “We are finding that more and more customers like the fact that we can provide them with all of their business communication needs vindicating our decision to launch a dedicated IT division just over 12 months ago.
“We now have offices in Chester, Basildon and Castle Donington, allowing us to react quickly to the needs of customers and potential customers across the UK.
“We believe we have a unique offering in being able to make a business’s technology work seamlessly from server right through to their mobile handsets.”
