St Basils calls for help to win Persimmon home in online contest

BIRMINGHAM’S homeless charity St Basils has called on the support of the city’s business community to help with its latest venture.

In honour of its 40th birthday Persimmon Homes has launched a competition to give away a house worth £250,000 to a worthy cause.

Persimmon received 3,000 nominations and selected St Basils as the finalist for the West Midlands region. There are 24 finalists in all and whichever charity receives the most votes in an online poll will win the house.

St Basils is the only West Midlands-based charity in the final and the organisation is calling on everyone in Birmingham, Solihull and Worcestershire – businesses and individuals alike – to vote for it.

There is only one vote per day per IP address so St Basils said if people had already voted then urging colleagues who had not would be welcome.
