Accel move is the firm’s largest ever investment

A FAMILY-run Redditch print firm has announced expansion plans.
Accel (UK), run by Pamela and Shaun Dillon, has acquired a 9,000 sq ft unit at Arthur Street, Lakeside Industrial Estate, in a deal put together by commercial property agents John Truslove.
Accel is a specialist paper converting company in the digital printing sector, converting standard papers to digital sheets. It is a third party supplier to Hewlett Packard and Moonpig.
The firm is now looking to extend its capabilities with larger format and added services. The new premises has three warehouse bays along with two-storey offices.
Mr Dillon said: “Digital printing is expanding – virtually the only area of printing that is – and it represents an opportunity for us.
“Purchasing the new unit, refurbishing it and installing new equipment is costing a lot. It is our biggest ever investment.”
Accel is leaving rented premises at the Ashtenne Business Centre at East Moons Moat.
Currently employing four staff plus the two partners, the move, which is due to complete in mid-October, could create further jobs.
The business was founded in 1993 by Mrs Dillon and her late husband Chris.
