Funding boost for recruiter gap personnel

INDUSTRIAL recruitment specialist gap personnel is stepping-up growth plans after securing a £11m funding package.

It has agreed an invoice discounting facility with Close Brothers Invoice Finance.

The company, which has its headquarters in Wrexham, has West Midlands offices in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leek, Stoke and Telford.

gap personnel was founded in 1997 by Gary Dewhurst and is on track to turn over £75m this year.

The funding will support gap’s working capital requirements and will be used to drive growth by further expansion.

Current clients range from multi-national organisations to SME and start-up businesses across a broad spectrum of sectors, including automotive, manufacturing, warehousing, waste management, recycling and food production.

The company places up to 7,000 temporary workers per week.
