Security firm Synectics on target for better-than-expected full year

WARWICKSHIRE-based security group Synectics has said it has seen a strong start to its second half trading and expects full year performance to be ahead of market expectations.

The Studley firm, formerly Quadnetics, said sales had been particularly robust in the Network Systems and Industrial Systems divisions, reflecting the growing global success of the group’s specialised enterprise-scale surveillance systems.

In a trading update, Synectics, which designs and integrates advanced surveillance technology and networked security systems, said: “Although some uncertainties remain, the board now anticipates that the company’s consolidated underlying results for the year are likely to be ahead of market expectations.”

The AIM-listed company is set to announce its preliminary results for the year to November 30, 2012 in late February.
