Training company Bromak targets growth after securing new accreditation

STAFFORDSHIRE recruitment and training consultancy Bromak is targeting growth of 30% over the next 12 months after gaining a key industry training accreditation.

The consultancy, which is on course to achieve between £11m-£12m in sales for 2012/13, has been awarded approved training provider status from CITB Construction Skills. This means it can deliver a raft of health and safety training courses to clients and candidates.

The Lichfield-based firm, which works with major UK contractors, shop fitters, local authorities and housing associations, is the only recruitment consultancy in its sector accredited to deliver Construction Skills training. Clients include ISG, Keepmoat Group and Wates.

Dave Brooks, managing director of Bromak, said: “We’ve been very encouraged by the number of training course bookings, in some cases with quite sizable firms ordering courses for hundreds of people at a time.

“It’s been 12 months since we ran our first course and we’ve seen many examples of how offering training as part of our recruitment service can save our clients time and money. That we are now able to deliver the full suite of Construction Skills safety training courses to our candidates only makes us stronger.”

Bromak also has recruitment offices and training facilities in Bolton, Liverpool and Yorkshire.

The consultancy has recently employed an experienced trainer capable of delivering the CITB Construction Skills courses as well as working from heights, manual handling, abrasive wheels and asbestos awareness.

In addition to courses offered in house, Bromak also has partnerships with a number of other providers allowing it to deliver first aid, IOSH, NEBOSH, PASMA, NRSWA and other construction industry related skills or safety training.

“We have developed many new client relationships offering combined training and recruitment services and we intend to expand our training team further in 2013 as we continue to develop the range of courses, accreditations and apprenticeship opportunities we offer,” added Mr Brooks.
