Handelsbanken opens additional Birmingham branch

BANKING group Handelsbanken has opened a new branch in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District.

The new branch – at 35 Newhall Street – will complement the Swedish bank’s existing branch in Temple Row and regional office in the Two Colmore Square.

The new branch will be managed by David Hastings, who joined Handelsbanken last July.

Two new staff members have already been appointed for the new branch. Tom Queenan will be corporate banking manager while Joanne Farrah joins as individual banking manager.

Hastings said: “Handelsbanken is going from strength to strength and we’re delighted to be able to extend our proposition across the city of Birmingham.

“Both Tom and Joanne bring substantial experience to our team and their appointment means that we can continue to meet the growing needs of both existing and new customers in Birmingham.”
