Modus to put Worcester BID on the map

MODUS Creative has been appointed to deliver Worcester Business Improvement District’s marketing events and communication plan for the next two years.

Adrian Field, Worcester BID manager, said: “After a rigorous tender for the development of a marketing and communications plan, we were impressed with Modus’ enthusiasm, knowledge and experience.

“We have confidence in knowing they will help us achieve our objectives, which are too increase trade and raise awareness of Worcester as well as carrying out projects the BID is committed too.”

Modus, which is official partner of Worcester Warriors and Worcestershire County Cricket Club, also includes Crowngate, Rock Lobster, Sight Concern Worcestershire, Premier Places, Infinity Beauty, Kingsway, Peplows, Peach Recruitment, Allan Morris Estate Agents and Griffiths and Charles among the many city centre businesses it works with.

Lambert Smith Hampton appoints Jewellery Quarter PR firm

COMMERCIAL property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Birmingham PR agency Barques PR to support its activities across the Midlands.

Barques will generate news releases, industry comment and features, based on in-depth market analysis, for LSH to raise the company’s profile in key areas including Nottingham, Northampton, Leicester, Luton, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Birmingham.

The 12-month contract was won by the Jewellery Quarter-based PR agency in a competitive pitch.

Clarke continues to build with new appointments

Penny Thorp, communications executive, Clarke AssociatesCLARKE Associates has strengthened with two new appointments. Penny Thorp, left, has joined the consultancy as a communications executive, while Ash Dhindsa has joined as an intern after winning a competition for a PR placement via the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Thorp, 26, graduated in public relations and communications from Southampton Solent University in 2009 and has worked on communication campaigns for Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Meridian, CIPR and West Sussex NHS Trust.

She will be working across a range of clients and sectors at the firm.

Ash, 20, has joined the consultancy on a part-time basis as he is in his third year at Birmingham City University, where he is studying media and communications.

Managing director David Clarke said: “Our team has been specially assembled to reflect a mixture of experience, sector of expertise, age, interests, personalities and outlook. We’re delighted with our two youngest recruits both of whom represent the future of our sector.”
