Coventry training company expands operations

A MANAGEMENT training and development company based in Coventry is expanding its operations into the south west of England after securing its first contract in the region.

Acua, which provides higher education-accredited leadership and management development programme, is now working managers at Wessex Water in Bath.

Stephanie Thompson, a former senior management lecturer at Bath Spa University, has been recruited by Acua to lead the course at the offices of the 2,000-strong company.

The business improvement programme will involve one-to-one and group sessions with managers studying towards accredited qualifications offered by Acua’s parent organisation Coventry University.

Miss Thompson said: “I have worked in the learning and development field for many years and am delighted to be part of this exciting project.

“I will be working closely with the team at Wessex Water to mentor them through the programmes which will incorporate modules that centre on real life work situations and case studies that reflect the team experiences during their day-to-day roles.”

Acua is headquartered at Coventry University’s Innovation Village and works with a range of public and private sector firms to design and deliver part-government funded programmes.
