BCA Logistics delivers itself to Birmingham Business Park

BCA Logistics has moved into new 10,000 sq ft premises at 3700 Parkside on Birmingham Business Park in Solihull.

Some 110 staff have moved to the new premises from existing offices in Bordesley Green in Birmingham and Measham in Leicestershire.

The firm is a major provider of logistics solutions in the automotive sector and the move has come on the back of two  years of sustained growth in which the company saw volumes increase by around 30%.

BCA currently handles over a quarter of a million moves annually and last month it announced the acquisition of nkl automotive ltd, a vehicle logistics specialist.

Its new base on Birmingham Business Park will be its headquarters and also act as a technology hub.

Jamie Carr, the firm’s operational director, said: “BCA’s new headquarters and technology centre provides us with the flexibility for future growth and expansion to meet and exceed the needs of our customers as we increase our market share and deliver new services in the vehicle logistics market.

“This superb new facility allows us to centralise a number of operational functions, which will provide improved service to customers through greater efficiencies and more effective and timely communication with every area of BCA’s business.”

GBR Phoenix Beard’s Richard Fletcher-Brewer acted on behalf of the landlord in relation to the letting.

The property consultancy is joint letting agent at Parkside alongside KWB, with Brown & Lee acting as acquiring agent.
