Advertising agency appoints new digital chief

AN ADVERTISING and marketing agency has appointed a new managing director for its digital division.

Gray Dudek has joined the board of Solihull-based McCann Erickson Central as MD of its digital agency McCann-i.

The former digital director of marketing communications firm RBH, Mr Gray is credited with developing the award-winning strategy for Land Rover’s global sustainability social media programme.

He also created Infegy Europe which provides social media insight and research via the ‘Social Radar’ analytics tool.

Mr Dudek has previously worked at Mars Incorporated, Capita Group, Land Rover, Hyundai, ASDA Walmart and Adidas.

Mr Dudek said: “There are a lot of very talented people at Communications House and within McCann-i, and I am looking forward to working with them and encouraging the agency to seize new opportunities.

“I’ll be working on some great clients and am excited about watching the team and business grow.”

He will oversee the digital output for the agency, following the recruitment of two new members to the McCann-i team, including digital account director Andrew Bowyer from Birmingham-based Clusta, where he worked on the ‘Augmented Reality’ online campaign for Coors.

Chief executive of McCann Erickson Central Dean Lovett added: “We are very pleased that Gray will be bringing his experience and innovation to the McCann-i team here at Communications House.

“His social media knowledge and ability alone is testament of his experience within the industry, and we are thrilled that Gray is already at work on several key accounts across the agency.”
