St Modwen signs up food and drink firms to Longbridge scheme

DEVELOPER St Modwen has unveiled three new food and drink tenants for its new £70m town centre development at Longbridge.
The company has signed up baker and sandwich maker Greggs, snack provider Simply Eat and coffee shop chain Costa to units in the high street.
All three retailers have signed ten year leases on units in the new high street, with Greggs and Simply Eat both set to occupy 774 sq ft of space and Costa signing up for a larger 1,291 sq ft unit.
The latest additions join a growing number of tenants, including Sainsbury’s, Hungry Horse, Premier Inn and Beefeater, as well as independent retailers.
In total, the new town centre will deliver 24 shops and restaurants, in addition to new office developments, Park Point and Seven House.
Mark Watkins, senior development surveyor at St Modwen, said: “We are really pleased to be able to announce the latest round of retailers to sign up to Longbridge. Costa, Greggs and Simply Eat, all have excellent reputations and we’re looking forward to welcoming them to Longbridge.
Adrian Gibbins, regional property manager at Greggs, added: “Longbridge provides us with an ideal opportunity, especially given the high street’s proximity to office accommodation and potential footfall from Bournville College. The new shop offers a modern, fit for purpose facility in a prime location.”
